As the Defence Technology Division of SIA "Latvijas Mobilais Telefons," LMT Defence specializes in developing digital solutions for the military industry, with expertise in battlefield information systems, 5G-enabled unmanned technologies, and customized defence innovations. In 2020, in collaboration with the Latvian Ministry of Defence, it launched Europe’s first 5G military test site, marking a significant milestone in defence innovation.

The company collaborates with leading global partners, including the U.S. Department of Defense, Ericsson, Nokia, SAAB, Bittium, and Airbus, and actively participates in NATO and European Defence Fund (EDF) projects.

LMT Defence maintains close cooperation with NATO’s Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and serves as an integrator and co-organizer of the annual Digital Backbone Experimentation (DiBaX), which tests the interoperability of the latest defence technologies.
