Defense Budget

In 2025, Latvia will invest over EUR 1.5 billion, or 3.45% of its GDP, to strengthen its defense—marking the largest defense budget in the country’s history.

Support for Ukraine

Both this year and in 2026, Latvia will continue providing military assistance to Ukraine, amounting to at least 0.25% of the country’s GDP.
